Organic VS Vegan

Nowadays, health-conscious product trends such as Organic and Vegan are emerging. But how do we differentiate between the two? First, we need to understand what Organic and Vegan mean and how they differ.

Organic cosmetics contain natural ingredients and the production is environmentally regulated. During the cultivation, harvesting, and extraction processes to obtain ingredients for these cosmetics, no chemicals, pesticides, chemical fertilizers can be used. The extraction process must also meet certain standards.

Organic products must contain at least 95% natural extracts and 10% of the total composition must be organic.

Vegan

cosmetics contain absolutely no animal-derived ingredients, including honey, beeswax, animal fat, milk, fish eggs, or even marine collagen. These are still considered animal exploitation. Aside from having no animal-derived components, vegan products also cannot be tested on animals, only humans.

Vegan products will be certified and labelled as VEGAN with the globally recognized Leaping Bunny logo to indicate no animal testing.
